The combined reproducing kernel method and Taylor series for solving nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations

In this letter, the numerical scheme of nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations is proposed in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS). The method is constructed based on the reproducing kernel properties in which the initial condition of the problem is satised. The nonlinear terms are replaced by its Taylor series. In this technique, the nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integro...

Software Implementation and Experimentation with a New Genetic Algorithm for Layout Design

This paper discusses the development of a new GA for layout design. The GA was already designed and reported. However the implementation used in the earlier work was rudimentary and cumbersome, having no suitable Graphical User Interface, GUI. This paper discusses the intricacies of the algorithm and the GA operators used in previous work. It also reports on implementation of a new GA operator ...

0 M ar 1 99 8 Transformation formulae for multivariable basic hypergeometric series

We study multivariable (bilateral) basic hypergeometric series associated with (type A) Macdonald polynomials. We derive several transformation and summation properties for such series including analogues of Heine's 2 φ 1 transformation, the q-Pfaff-Kummer and Euler transformations, the q-Saalschütz summation formula and Sear's transformation for terminating, balanced 4 φ 3 series. For bilatera...

Prediction of Body Center of Mass Acceleration From Trunk and Lower Limb Joints Accelerations During Quiet Standing

Purpose: Predicting body Center of Mass (COM) acceleration is carried out with more accuracy based on the acceleration of three joints of lower limb compared to only accounting joints of hip and ankle. Given that trunk movement during quite standing is noticeable, calculating trunk acceleration in model might increase prediction accuracy of COM acceleration. Moreover, in previous research studi...

Regularization of Divergent Series and Tauberian Theorems

The concepts of convergence and divergence, while not defined explicitly until early 19th century, have been studied since the third century BC. Throughout this time, mathematicians have largely focused upon convergent sequences and series, having seemingly little analytical reason to study series that diverged. However, as the area of mathematical analysis developed over the past few centuries...
